Jewelry Care Guide
Care & Maintenance: Preserving the Light
Each piece of Mēre & Ora jewelry is crafted with natural gemstones and fine metals. To maintain the delicate nature and enduring brilliance of your collection, we recommend these mindful care practices.

Chemical & Environment Awareness
- The Last Layer: Fragrances, lotions, and oils are part of your ritual, but their chemical elements can accelerate metal oxidation. Always allow your skincare to absorb completely before putting on your jewelry.
- Stay Dry: Water and humidity are the primary causes of tarnish. Please remove your sterling silver pieces before swimming, bathing, or strenuous activity to protect both the metal and the structure of porous gemstones.
Wearing & Handling
- The Final Touch: To prevent snagging on clothing or accidental breakage, we recommend making your jewelry the final step in your styling routine and the first item to remove at the end of the day.
- Gentle Handling: Handle your jewelry with care. Avoid pulling on chains or applying unnecessary pressure to metal settings and clasps to prevent deformation.
Storage & Cleansing Rituals
- Separate Storage: Natural crystals vary in hardness. To prevent scratches and surface wear, store your pieces individually in a soft, dry jewelry pouch or a lined box, away from direct sunlight and moisture.
- Gentle Cleaning: To remove dust or fingerprints, gently wipe your jewelry with a clean, soft, dry lint-free cloth (such as a microfiber jewelry cloth). Avoid ultrasonic cleaners, chemical solutions, or abrasive cloths, as these can permanently dull the natural luster of your stones.
Embracing Natural Variations
- Nature’s Fingerprints: We celebrate the unique character of natural stones. Subtle variations in color, natural inclusions, or "veils" within the crystals are not flaws -- they are the unique identifiers of your piece.
